The National Chairperson of the Atikulated Global Movement, AGM, Hon. Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu ( BASA) is mobilising support for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections. Governor Seyi Makinde is seeking a second term while PDP candidates for the Oyo state House of Assembly will also be seeking victories.
Among these candidates to the House of Assembly are the only two female candidates of the PDP in Hon. ( Dr.) Olufunke Comforter Olajide , representing Ibadan North Constituency 1; and Hon. Bisi Oluranti Oyero-Michael , popularly known as BOOM from Ogbomosho South .
For BASA, their elections couldn’t have come at a better time with the marking of the International Women’s Day last week. She said , ” as women, we must continue to fight for equity , fairness and justice in politics and other spheres of life”.
BASA therefore
charges all Ibadan North Residents who fall under Constituency 1 to please vote for Comforter while charging equally , Ogbomosho South Residents to turn in for BOOM.
Continuing , “we need to ensure more women get into elective positions as they will be the only 2 women contesting for Oyo State House Of Assembly under the PDP. Its bad enough we do not have enough female representation therefore I am highly interested in their electoral success”.
The amazonian AGM leader equally enjoins all PDP members and the womenfolks in particular to work assiduously for the success of the two candidates as their victory will mark a watershed in realising the affirmative action for women as it concerns Oyo state.
Having an all PDP legislature is crucial to supporting Engr. Seyi Makinde for his second term administration.
